Important Announcement! A planned system-wide upgrade will take place over the Memorial Day Weekend in the US (From Thurs, May 24, 2012 at 6 pm PDT thru Tues, May 29, 2012 at 5 am PDT). This includes QuickBooks, QuickBooks Payroll, Point of Sale, & Salesforce.com. This is only for US based products. This does not affect QuickBooks Online customers! During this time, you can shop, but can’t place orders online, activate products or update account info. We apologize for the inconvenience & thank you for patience while we improve our infrastructure to better serve you. International versions are unaffected. For more info, see our community discussion.

Unable to find an account/client on my general ledger?

One of our clients/acct #'s is not showing up on our general ledger? However if I do a transaction detail by account number, the client number shows up? I've tried the FIND function and its telling me there is no such client number or name? Need assistance on this. Thank you.

My email address is: michiv@hotmail.com

The solution

I'm not sure if I understand your question correctly, but I think the client/acct # may have been set to "inactive" . If you are looking for an account # in your general ledger, open the Chart of Accounts, Click on the down arrow for Accounts, click on Show Inactive accounts. If you are looking for a client/customer open the customer list and show inactive customers. Hope this helps

Thanks for being part of the QB community. Please let me know if this helped, by checking the solved button. If it hasn't helped, please post again.
Regards, Liz
