Important Announcement! A planned system-wide upgrade will take place over the Memorial Day Weekend in the US (From Thurs, May 24, 2012 at 6 pm PDT thru Tues, May 29, 2012 at 5 am PDT). un wanted block of client screen

how can i prevent the "live community" help "tax import" "tax research powered by BNA" from blocking the lower half of my screen? i click "hide" it comes back each time i open.

Put "panel" in the search just up and to right of your question and pick one of the 400+ other places it has been answered.

We could ask for a sticky note, but those don't really seem to work that well.

Around 10th line down, "Help-Me-etc," make it NO
You'll only have to do this once a year.

I also suggest you make a desktop "Hints" file (or "Lacerte Hints" or "Computer Hints") and put this procedure into your hints.  Then you can refer to it next year and not even have to ask again or look for early-2012 references on the Intuit website.

On the line underneath the "Help-Me" etc line, there's a line about "input-error-checking."  You may want to set this to "no" if you're a fast typist.  Having it be "yes" slows down the program to a snail's pace.  You may also have to set it to "no" in all your modules, not just Individual.  (By contrast, setting "Help-Me" to "no" in any module, makes all of them automatically be "no.")
