When trying to add a new image after release 5.0.5, generates an error. Now all the images we added before are gone. Everytime we try to open a PDF file to view, generates an error, but can close the error box and still view the PDF but cannot add any images to the PDF
I have this problem also (except I don't lose images that are out there from before). Have you heard of a solution yet?
What kind of "images" are you referring to? What is the actual task you are trying to achieve? When exactly is this error happening?

For a very brief time we could add a document to an existing DMS file. It was the golden age ... week ... of DMS. Then after an update DMS reverted to its earlier problem described above. If you add a document, you will find you have only the added doc with the others having been deleted.
There's a tedious procedure allowing the creation of a second file with the new docs, then importing them to the original file.
DMS IMO is a poorly functioning product that lacks options expected in any s/w that creates/stores PDF files. The above is a prime example. Another is the lack of an option to "print current page" when printing from DMS. The extra $$$ paid in '07 for DMS was supposedly to enable a much better product but DMS seems to be the same old problem prone s/w it's been for the years I've used it.
