Trust Accounts - How do I enter a client's deposit, a liabiltiy, to a trust acct and later post the deposit to an invoice? Can anyone tell me the exact steps. QB instructions are not good for this. Thanks
I have two trust fund accounts set up 105 and 105.10. The 105.10 has the clients names setup up under it this is where the funds are deposited.
Banking->Make Deposits
Deposit to information is the client->date->Memo: Deposit
Received From->Client’s name->From Account Client Trust Liability->Memo who check received from.
When it's time to write he check to the client choose Jan Doe->Account Client Trust Liability->Memo Distribution of trust Funds
We don't do invoices.
