I am new to this software and we have a jewelry store and are trying to print the inventory tags. I have a datamax e4203 tag printer but when I go to print the tags the only ones available are the avery tags. I went into the folder for the tag designs and saw I have jewelry tags but they will not come up while using the software. Can someone please help me!!

QuickBooks POS does not recognize the datamax e4203 as a tag printer, so you will not be able to print barcodes to it from within the program. If you check in the HELP screen under printing, and view the screen ?Compatible POS Equipment,? you will note that the compatible Tags Printers are the Zebra LP2824 and Cognitive Del Sol DD24. So even after installing the datamax e4203 through the Control Panel and choosing that printer in POS Workstation Preferences, because the POS program defaults to letter printers when a non-compatible printer name is entered, the template choices for the datamax are all letter-sized Avery sheets.
If you have barcode software for the datamax e4203, you can print the labels outside of the POS program. The POS scanner can then be used to enter the barcode into the UPC field in the POS Item form screen.

I am also in the jewelry business and cannot select a template other than Avery in the Workshop Preferences. I Have a Zebra LP2824 printer with drivers installed. I can select the LP2824 printer but not the jewelry templates. I have tried contacting Intuit, but they do not support POS 6.0 anymore and just try to sell me a new version.

I wonder why Intuit would not make datamaxe4203 a compatable printer as most of jeweler uses datamax
Good suggestion. Please send feedback to the product developers, asking the same question.
In the POS program, click on HELP on top menu bar, and ?Send Feedback? on dropdown. These messages go directly to the POS engineers.
