Tracking Postage Meter Usage
QuickBooks Canada : Pro 2012Is there a way to track postage machine usage in QB? We pay whenever the balance gets low, but my boss would like a report of how much we are using monthly, split by project.

You could use a class to track usage by product, classes are limited to 100 if I remember right, so at some point you would have to rename a class that has been used and the project it complete
not really that big a problem since a class report can be restricted to a date range, that way you do not get two projects in one report
Edit>preferences>accounting>company tab, check mark use class tracking to turn it on ..... see Help>classes

Hmm. OK.
Is there a way to make QB stop asking if I want to assign a class to everything? I don't. Just postage. I'm entering other bills this morning and this is slowing me down.
