When I print a Balance Sheet report the total assets and total liabilities + equity does not balance. Something happen between year 2009 and year 2010 as 2009 is balancing fine but in 2010 and onward they do not.
Perhaps not all adjusting entries provided by your accountant for the 2010 fiscal year were entered or entered incorrectly.
We havent had any adjustments made by the accountant and eventhough if that would be the case the adjustments have to be a double entry so it should balance.
Not if the entries were entered incorrectly - for instance numbers were mistyped or the accountant used different account numbers than the ones in your chart of accounts. Either way, if no mistakes were made the accounts should balance. I would start looking!
