why is it i can't get support from someone who speaks english and is in the united states. I am trying to get my quick books pro disk to work and then they tell me they would like to take control of my computer!

Only dependent upon the situation. In this instance, our QuickBooks support is located outside of the USA. They are employees of Intuit, and are highly accredited. They will not be on your computer for anything more then QuickBooks.
Once you give someone remote access to your computer they have an open door.
The point is once you give remote control over your computer to someone outside they have full access to it. With client files on my computer I would never give access to anyone from the outside.

I used to get American support about 50% of the time, but lately it has always been from India.
Did Intuit close the US Enterprise support in Oregon?
I have no problem letting Intuit tech support in my computer at work. In fact, I often invite them in so I do not have to waste time explain everything.
