In Arizona I KNOW this is a problem! I've trained from within this year an employee when hired a year ago never considered becoming a tax preparer. Since an accountants job is easier to fill, and she is excited about the change, I've sent her to H & R Block class and will send her to a few other seminars. Her work is beyond excellent so this has been my plan B. I've looked for a preparer for months - even advertising in the AZ Society of CPA magazine with no results.

Have any of you thought about using out-of-state tax preparers utilizing modern technology, such as email, faxes, or document scanning? I understand that right now the market is in desperate need for tax preparers, but I know some of your software companies actually have accountants that work in their technical departments.

i sub for out-of-state preparers ... all you have to do is provide me with a copy of the tax program you use ...
i've done this for the past several years and it works fine ...

I am a tax preparer looking for more work. I have been preparing taxes for 7 yrs.
Willing to travel for a couple of months. I currently live in Southern California; but considering a permanent move to AZ. I would like to visit the area for a few months before committing permanently to move.
If someone needs a full or part-time tax preparer willing to go to relocate to area for a couple of month.

I am experienced and currently working on US individual taxes (1040s) and also corporate (1120s) - I came across your ad, wondering if you could still use some help - i can certainly use some extra income. I dont have experience with Lacerte, but I am very experienced in GoSystems Fasttax, H&R Taxcut, and TurboTax, so if it is important that the work is done through lacerte, i am sure it wont be difficult or a lengthy process for me to do that. I just moved from Lakewood, NJ to Canada, but I dont see why that should matter if I am doing taxes via computer. Please contact me if interested and we can discuss fees. Thanks!
