Tax Forgivenness
Had a client ask me if I had any knowledge of taxes owed, be forgiven this year. I have no idea what he may be talking about. When I questioned him ,he said he had heard about it from someone.

There are advertisements by people claiming that they can get the IRS to forgive some of a person's tax debt. I would be very cautious about even contacting such people, since they would be obtaining personal information that could lead a taxpayer into a world of trouble.
When anyone doing nothing needs help, I will gladly help that person do nothing.

Some states have amnesty programs that run for short periods of time that would waive penalties, but I never heard anything about forgiving taxes, except for offers in compromise.

Tell him that I FORGIVE HIM, but that won't buy him anything.
If you use Pro Series Basic I might not be able to help you. If you use Turbo Tax I might refuse to help you. All others, watch out! ;-)
