Important Announcement! A planned system-wide upgrade will take place over the Memorial Day Weekend in the US (From Thurs, May 24, 2012 at 6 pm PDT thru Tues, May 29, 2012 at 5 am PDT). This includes QuickBooks, QuickBooks Payroll, Point of Sale, & Salesforce.com. This is only for US based products. This does not affect QuickBooks Online customers! Please can you tell me why this would completely freeze my ability to even get into my 2010 program and work on clients that are already REP'd?? Is that normal? As I was really planning on catching up this weekend, but that's okay, as long as I know it will be okay tomorrow. Just seems weird to me that I can't even operate the program now.

My 2010 Lacerte program just flat out FREEZES. I can't do anything with it. I can't even exit out of it once I start it, I have to reboot. What the heck??

Unacceptable!  The program is still not working this morning.  I have lost valuable hours of tax prep time.  I have a client appointment in just a half hour to review his tax return which I now do not have access to because of this problem.  You can bet I'll be searching for a new tax prep vendor.

Latest post

Try rebooting your computer and when your computer is up and running do not attempt to open 2010 Lacerte.  Instead go to the Start menu > Programs or All Programs > Lacerte > 2010 Lacerte Web Setup.  After installing the update you should be able to reenter the program.
