Suppressing My Company Name When Checks Print

How do I suppress the printing of my company name on my checks - the company name is already part of the pre-printed check?

I have gone into Company preferences and made the company name blank - noodling around on this site makes me believe that this might be a short-term workaround. But if I actually want to maintain good records in the software - like letting the software know the name and address and FEIN number of my company - then this is clearly not a good answer. There must be some setting that tells the print routine that I don't want anything printed in upper left portion of the check, as my checks are pre-printed. I know that the Mac version of this product is really lacking, but I can't imagine that this is not a setting.

Anybody have any ideas?
