I use a Savin printer that allows me to keep track of sheets printed by client code. I set the client code by going into printer properties[see PDF files screen shot 1, 2 and 3 attached] from the print screen on most programs - including QuickBooks. ProSeries does not give me the opportunity to go to preferences to enter a client code, select duplexing for client copy, select the stationery paper tray for the client letter, etc. If they can do it in QuickBooks, I can't imagine that they can't do it in ProSeries.
I would like to know if there is a way in ProSeries to create a .pdf of just one or several forms and not the entire return? I don't see where you can do this. This would be a great enhancement to the product. Best example is doing a Form 2848 in ProSeries and sending to the client. I want to be able to just create a .pdf of Form 2848 and not the entire return.
Thanks,
Joel
Yes, you can create a PDF of one form and either print it or e-mail it to the client. Just go to WWW.pdfFACTORY.com and download their program. When installed it places their Printer Icon on your computer so when you produce a PDF copy of your clients file ... you just then open up the ProSeries PDF file to the 4868 then PRINT current page and under PRINTER name choose pdfFactory and then SEND and it will place the 4868 into the e-mail. Have used it many times.
Yes, I just did it in ProSeries for 2006. The forms are all draft but I did it.
The 2006 Version of ProSeries allows a User to create a 'pdf' file of single forms, etc.
