subclass question

ProSeries : 2010

Shouldn't the subclasses equal the class they are sub of and if they don't what is the problem?
I may have discovered my problem. I want to print out a P&L with just the classes and I would like them to reflect the total of all the subs, but they don't.
When I have all the classes and subclasses, I do have a total column that is correct.
I wonder if I am not able to get the P&L I want because I made classes into subs long after I had started posting. If that is the issue, it is easier to export to excel and go from there.

If you are filtering and then selecting only specific class or subclass, you are by definition asking for a limited view of the data and do not get the same total as an ALL info P&L report.
