Quickbooks for Engineering Company - I am trying to search for invoices but only have a partial invoice number. I know there are several invoices under this job but I can't figure out how to pull all of them up in a list at once.
Open the Customer Center. Click on this customer name (Customer:job). On the right is Transactions. Set the date range; select Transaction Type of Invoice only. Click on the header of the column for inv # to put it in sequence.
Or, run a Quick Report on this customer name, and filter it for Transaction Type = Invoice; set the date if that helps narrow it for you.
I have 200 invoices open for any one client at a time. Is it possible to narrow it down or do I have to scroll through the list to find what I am looking for?
can you identify it by an item that was invoiced on the one you're looking for? go to the item code and run a QuickReport.

To narrow it down further, you need something else: date? Item? You can filter on Job, date and item, for a transaction detail report. You cannot filter on Item for a Transactions list.
