Still no spell check in 09 Quickbooks
There is a spell check in QB but it is of limited functionality. Here is what QB 2009 says:
You can check the spelling in the Description, Memo, Notes, and Message fields of the following forms: invoices, estimates, sales receipts, credit memos, and purchase orders. As a rule, whenever you see the Spelling button in a form or window, you can spell check most of the fields in which you enter text manually. Please note that the QB SPELL CHECK does not check on check entries or journal entries where we do 90% of our work (The previous sentence is my comment).
Note: The Spell Checker does not have the broad functionality of other spell checkers you may have used. It is intended to help you quickly check the spelling of words in most fields in which text can be entered.
You can run Spell Checker automatically by turning it on in Preferences.
I have looked at Intuit marketplace and it does not show a third party spell checker either. Perhaps there is a business opportunity for a smart developer.
