Still confused about this site

It is. You can post either a comment or an answer in order to get the other answers to show up. After a few hours, answers show up without having to go through the song and dance. Once a person wanting to answer a question posts a comment then that person can see the answers others have already posted so they do not waste their time by duplicating an answer. Then, if they post an answer, close the post and then re-open it, the answer they just posted is there as well as those answers posted by others. Most participants chose to use the comment function to get the answers to show up as comments are not worth any points and participants are not asking for empty points. That is why you see comments with just a period, or a number or a symbol like zzzzzzz. The moderators, our life line to Intuit technical support, have only said the problem is being caused by high traffic on the forum.

Are you referring to the fact that when the person says the question is solved, the site is then closed to further questions and comments. This is the way it is. And once it is solved all answers and comments can not be entered.

Or are you referring to how slow the system is, and sometimes the question is blank when it has previous comments or answers. Some people have found a way around this, by entering a comment with a period, and then lo the answers and comments appear. This system is used to over come the answer and comments not showing and seems to work.

I am referring to that the questions are separate from the answers on the site. Why can't they all be put on the same post, like Tax Almanac? anuenue

because they want you to have some fun reading
