Important Announcement! A planned system-wide upgrade will take place over the Memorial Day Weekend in the US (From Thurs, May 24, 2012 at 6 pm PDT thru Tues, May 29, 2012 at 5 am PDT). This includes QuickBooks, QuickBooks Payroll, Point of Sale, & Salesforce.com. This is only for US based products. This does not affect QuickBooks Online customers! During this time, you can shop, but can’t place orders online, activate products or update account info. We apologize for the inconvenience & thank you for patience while we improve our infrastructure to better serve you. International versions are unaffected. For more info, see our community discussion.

If you uninstalled Office 2007, you'll need to re-install at least Word and excel 2007.  Their documentation us utterly useless as far as exactly what's needed, and it was trial and error on my end.  2007 and 2010 can work side by side, so there's no risk with having them both installed.  You may have to be logged in as a network admin on the machine so that a Word 2007 registry entry gets added.  Hope this helps.

Statement Writer will only work with Office 2010 32bit, please make sure you have that installed. If you do, you will need to do the following steps to get Statement Writer to recognize your new version of Office.

At the Welcome screen, go to Preferences and then click on Run Diagnostics. The Diagnostics screen should list 2 components needed for Office 2010, you will want to install them both. Once this is done, Statement Writer will work with your version of Office.
