tilt53,
did you really have a comment? cause if you did I did not get it.
Maybe it means "duh"....I have seen tilt53 do this frequently...don't know what it means nor do I understand ".."
I think you are exactly right. After I sent my comment I also noticed tilt53 had replied the same way on other questions!!!
tilt53's response of "." is a workaround to view comments or answers on your original question. Once you add a comment to a question, you can see all the comments and answers immediately. Without the comment it can take more than a hour for the items to display.
tilt53 was trying to see what was here and try to be helpful.
I do apprec iate the look over then. Do you have a fix to the problem?
I'm not sure I understand your situation.
Does this only happen on some workstations and not others? If so, what is different about those workstations? Do they have a different operating system? Or a different printer? Or a different version of the print driver? A different default printer in Windows?
While attempting to answer all your questions, I have narrowed my problem to a Xerox Phaser 8500 printer and a 2 brand new computers with XP Pro. I changed 1 of the workstations to a different printer and it was fine. It printed letter, federal, georgia. The other workstation (Partner) doesn't want to be moved so she is still printing to the Phaser and still prints the letter, georgia then federal. It's not a real big deal just takes a liitle extra time. Maybe I should update the print driver? Thank you so much for taking your time to help. Intuit Community is great!!
I'm glad it was a straight forward as that. Yes, try to update the driver for the Xerox Phaser 8500.
Another suggestion is to install the Hewlett-Packard LaserJet 4 driver, even though you don't use it. (This is available as part my XP Pro operating system.) This is the basic type of driver that ProSeries uses and having it installed some times solves functionality problems.
