Split commissions for Recruiters- looking to start with QB Pro v11
We pay sales commissions on paid invoices to our Independent Contractor Sales Reps.
When an invoice is paid, commissions are earned. Commissions are based upon a % of the invoice, but the % may vary by customer.
Two reps usually split a commission, a client manager and a candidate recruiter, with each function having different percentages.
Eg $10,000 invoice, commission is 20% = $2,000, with the reps getting 20% and 50% or $400 and $1,000 each.
Ideally when an invoice is created, the commissions are set up for the reps.
Then the commission payments to reps could be automatically posted when a check is deposited that is posted against an invoice being marked paid.
Complications:
Partial customer payments needs partial commissions.
Customer refunds- result in commission charge backs.
