everytime I enter a previously saved vendor it automatically enter split as the account and then it wont let me change it. I then have to delete the check and chose the account be fore I use the stuo fill for the name. Help i am aboput to shoot
I am having the same problem - but this is a new issue. It didn't happen in the older version of QB Pro. You do not have to delete the entry- you can click on Edit Transaction from the tool bar that appears just above the register tab. Hope this helps. I would love for someone to tell us how to turn off the 'split' auto fill. Kim
That is why you DON"T enter checks in the Register.
Hit Ctrl +W or go to banking and Write Checks.
This isn't about writing a check. Mine does it too. I have not pre-entered anything. This is a straight download from my bank into my register and if I have the vendor already created it shows up as -split- in the account line. You can double click to correct it, but is too time consuming. How can this be fixed?
Dear God, I wish I did not have to use Qbooks. is there a competing product where I can download bank info and not bother with Qbooks unresolved problems ??? I think it might be quicker to do all this stuff manually.
The online banking functions are not meant to replace data entry and doesn't have as robust tools as the actual program.
Online Banking is a helper tool, not the main program.
