Simple Secured pdf

ProSeries : 2011

Is there a simple method of secured pdf which does not require the client to download software?   People as are tired of the upgrade popups and mothers middle name provisions, just to get  a rare secured pdf.   Any thoughts?

Tilt ,  Thanks  for your comments.  But Bullzip , after what was to be a free product, wanted me to buy a winzip16.   I used the tiral version and when I sent a test file to the client,  it wanted them to downlaod the program before it could be opened.

I do not mind buying a program,  but would like to avoid that.   MY main point is to have a password protected,  encrypted pdf to cleitns that will not requrie that they download software.  Any thoughts?  Thanks.

I'll take another look at bullzip and try to duplicate what you're seeing.  It's always been good in the past.  Personally, I use the full Adobe program.

THanks.

IN the last 5 minutes,  I believe I found a mistake at the client's  end.  BUt it still requried that I use only a "trial"   win16 version at my end.

I do think I will go with ADOBE.  Have you found that by using adobe, the client  needs to download any software?

No, as long as they have Adobe Reader installed.  FWIW, (I can't find the info now) I purchased Acrobat Standard 9 from ebay a few years ago.  It was a brand new program, just not with the fancy box.  I made sure I bought it from a well-qualified seller and I got it a a very reasonable price.

Like Tilt, I use Adobe Acrobate Standard 9.  Sper easy and quiick, they just enter a password when they click it to open on their end, even with just acrobat reader.

My copy came free with the scanner I bought for use with DMS.
