I'm starting a catering company from home, to get revenue up so I can obtain the right trademarks and paperwork concerning it , how much information should I keep since some profit will be made before paperwork is done? I would not be able to record that (before paperwork profit) right?
Oh yes, keep detailed records of your income and expenses now. The IRS doesn't really care if you have not officially set up your business on "paper".
