Should I choose QuickBooks or Quicken for my business ?

My wife and I own a salon and I have always made custom spreadsheets in Excel to track everything .. This year I would like to start using a software based solution such as Quicken or QuickBooks.. I cannot decide what one to by as I have never used them before.. The business is formed as a partnership between my wife and I.

I need the following:

keep track of gross income on a weekly basis

keep track of bills due/expenses on a weekly basis

keep track of assets we have (not products we have to order for haircare)

show profit/loss at anytime I need it.

Generate 1099-MISC forms for the people who work in our salon (I guess we should call them contractors)

Also would like it to assist in filing or the ability to export data to file taxes ..


I would like to use it to keep track of personal expenses also.

Can anyone point me in the right direction ??
