how do i set up for RALs? what bank do i contact?

With E-filing taking less than 2 weeks normally I would Never Suggest RAL's, they are a ripoff

You might have to be patient for the answer to that one - most of the regulars here aren't big believers in RALs.

IRMN... I am definitely a Big Believer that RAL's and those that Offer them are a Ripoff
Thanks MJ - I would have never guessed that based on many of your earlier posts.

Instead of a RAL, check out the Intuit Refund Debit Card. Information begins on the 1040 Info Sheet in Direct Deposit of refund. Follow the Quick Zooms.
Not aware of Intuit's Refund Debit Card. Looked in TY2009, didn't see it. Is it only in TY2010?
I'm not aware of any of my clients not having a bank account in some shape or form, so for my clients, it still isn't a good deal.
EDIT - the ordering system is working well today.
Anyone who has not yet done their 2009 tax is not in much of a hurry for their refund. Intuit's Refund Debit Card is part of the 2010 tax package. There is nothing to set up. Read all the information so you can explain to the client how it works and use as needed.
Thanks for the link IRMN. Just downloaded and installed TY2010 today, not aware of Intuit's Refund Debit Card.
Glad to help. I wasn't aware of it either but after Charlotte's post I got curious and took a quick look at what it was all about.
Is the only fee for this debit card $15 or is there an additional fee that I haven't uncovered yet?
Frankly, the various fees associated with this card are almost as bad as RALs. Please advise your client to wait for a direct depost or refund check. I cannot endorse this product.
Personally, I still wouldn't go the card route either - the client is still paying fees for something they can get for free by waiting a few more days.
The few fees, that there could be, are small. This is a regular debit card which actually provides an account where people, who have not had a bank account, can deposit all their checks and get cash or make payments instead of paying the fee charged by a check cashing company. I see it as a potential benefit to many clients.

I was looking for pointers, but it appears your link is bad. If you can't gouge your clients who can you gouge?

I think the prepaid debit card is still a ripoff and I think Pro Series screwed us by automatically making it part of the tax program
