Important Announcement! A planned system-wide upgrade will take place over the Memorial Day Weekend in the US (From Thurs, May 24, 2012 at 6 pm PDT thru Tues, May 29, 2012 at 5 am PDT). This includes QuickBooks, QuickBooks Payroll, Point of Sale, & Salesforce.com. This is only for US based products. This does not affect QuickBooks Online customers! Screen saver problem with Quickbooks Pro 2008 and XP Professional Servive pack 3

I installed QB Pro 2008 on a new system with XP Pro Service pack 3 and now my screen saver will not start. Was able to restore it by uninstalling QB, modifying the screensavertimeout registry through CMD-regedit and rebooting. Put QB back in, and sure enough the problem came back. What is happening?

Latest post

There is very little written about Windows Service Pack 3 on the QuickBooks database so it is a bug that may not have been reported yet.  To report it, click on Help in your Menu bar and make a suggestion/ report a bug.
