Schedule D Attachment Input of Totals
Where do you enter the total gain or loss from Schedule D-1 so it will print on line 1b or line 6b?

In Screen 17 of Lacerte, in the "carryover/misc" section, there are 4 spots (I'm sorry but I forget the exact code numbers) for:
Long-Term Proceeds
Long-Term Gain or Loss
Short-Term Proceeds
Short-Term Gain or Loss
These 4 spots are about 5 or 6 lines down from the first items in the section (which are the carryovers from past years).

I believe the original question was in regard to Form 1041, not 1040. I can't find any special input on the 1041 screens. Is it not a requirement (not just a suggestion) on 1041, as it is on 1040, to report the totals of separate transaction reports on the two specific lines?
