SCH D 1099B DOESN'T MATCH 'REALIZED GAIN & LOSS'

Client has 1099B which does not match 'realized gain and loss' statement from brokerage house. Many calls which are closed are included in the gain and loss which do not appear on 1099B. Makes a big difference in gain/loss if calls are used on Sch D. Ideas? Thanks!

You have to report options sales on the sched d. the brokerage is not required to report the option sales on the 1099.

Tie out the brokerage statement to the proceeds of the stocks, bonds etc and then add the options.

Thanks for the input - done! Hadn't run into a brokerage huse before that does detail not matching 1099B.
