Scanning invoices into Accounts Payable
Is it possible to scan in an invoice and attach it to an accounts payable item so I can quit keeping boxes and boxes of invoices?Help.

This would be an awesome feature. I currently use a xerox documate scanner to scan all my invoices to pdf files which I store on a file server. Maybe there is someone who can make a plugin to allow you to embed or link the pdf to an item in quickbooks. I would definitely pay for that. Hope someone replies to this.

A company called CabinetNG makes an award winning plugin for QB called "CNG-Books." It allows you to go completely paperless by scanning in documents and linking them to QB information directly. It will even enter the transactions into QB. I think it is pricey though ($2500.) Check out their PowerPoint online demo:

I have the same question, but I'd like to take it one step further. I want to scan my invoices and have them automatically be archived, linked to QB, AND be entered into QB Accounts Payable. I want to eliminate the step of having to manually enter in the invoice.
Does anyone else have this requirement?

Apparently QB2010 has this feature as their "document management" feature. I have not seen it, as I am using QB2009, but will be looking at it myself. Good luck with the problem.
