Saving accountant version down from '09 to version '08
My accountant has a newer version of QuickBooks. How can he work on my file and then save down for me to reinstall his file to my version of Quickbooks?

Every accountant should use the Premier Accountant Edition. Either of you can get it in the QuickBooks ProAdvisor program to save lots of money. This also gets you the best U.S. based QuickBooks Tech Support, Intuit's best payroll for 50 companies with unlimited employees and much more.
Only the Accountant version of QuickBooks 2009 can save client files to QB2008. All accountants should have this Accountant Edition for every QB year clients use. They can insist you upgrade in advance, as I often do. However, unless they do that, the consensus of QuickBooks experts has long been that other upgrades require the accountant to give you a free copy of a new QuickBooks or to post their changes to your file without charge.
I am now offering a free copy of QuickBooks to new clients and can easily create a QuickBooks 2008 version of your QuickBooks 2009 file.
