Sales tax on receipts

US QuickBooks Premier : 2012: Contractor

do you recommend itemizing sales tax on receipts. I buy parts and they of course have tax should i itemize the sales tax into a different chart of accounts? Or just include it in the price of the part. Which would be better down the road??

 Along with Michele's answer, consider seeing if your state has a reseller permit, you download, fill it in and hand it to the vendor, then the vendor can sell to you sales tax free for item you sell or are part of a job
