Sales receipts missing from statements & business name not showing.

US QuickBooks Pro for Windows

Why are sales receipts missing from statements. If a customer only has sales receipts the only why I have found to create a statement is to create a dummy invoice on the first date of the statement date range. This is hugely inconvenient and impossible for year end statements that I want to send to all customers. I use business tracking and can not find a way to show the business name on statements. It defaults to the corporate name which confused my customers so I have to put an explanation in the cover email.

Statements are to show A/R activity, ie, invoice, customer payment, open balance, etc.

Sales receipts are used when you are paid at the time of the sale.  Not an a/r transaction.

You can use a sales report to show a customer's transactional history of sales (just filter it to the one customer).

You can customize the statement template to show the other customer name.  In the statement window, click customize button (top right).

Note: if you are a non profit and need to send the customer a statement for the year end, there are add-on software products that can do that for you.  www.marketplace.intuit.com

I understand from an accounting stand point that statements are for A/R transactions however; in the real world small business' like mine, to cut my billing time in half,  use sales receipts to charge customers their balance at time of service. These sames customers need a year end statement. Those sales receipts must be included. I'm asking QB to recognize this fact and create an option to same me, and thousand or others small business, the hours it takes to created dummy invoices just to get the statements to work!
