how do i search for sales we made from customers outside of texas for the years 2006, 07, and 08 seperately?

There are 2 ways to get the info.
First: Go to Sales>Sales by Customer Detail>Pick your Dates; this will produce the report by period. Go to Modify Report>Under the “Columns†click Name City; Name State; Name Zip. This will produce a report with the required info. Export to Excel and sort out Texas Customers.
The second we do with our clients is to setup the “Type†in the Customer Account to be State (i.e., New Mexico, California, etc.) Then you can run the same report as above, but instead of using “Columnsâ€, you go to “Filtersâ€>Choose Filter> Customer Type and Choose Multiple Customer Types. This would give you a report that does not need to be exported. You could also use a Summary Report instead of a Detail Report.
If you choose this way, you could Utilities>Export> List to iif> Click on Customer List and export. Then add the “Type†to the appropriate column. Import back to the data file, and you can run the report for all retro information. New Customers need to be setup with the “Typeâ€
