Rolling back to R9 for "QuickBooks for Mac 2012
We released the R10 update for QuickBooks for Mac 2012 earlier this month. R10 is signed with a certificate issued by Apple to ensure a smoother experience for customers under Gatekeeper's default setting. Unfortunately, there appears to be an issue that is preventing the program from accessing passwords stored in Keychain Access, the tool that OS X uses to store passwords and other sensitive information. We recommend all users stick with R9 until we can find a solution to this problem.
If you're running Mountain Lion, don't worry; although you may see some issues associated with the absence of bug fixes included in R10, QuickBooks 2012 R9 is still usable.
Uninstall QuickBooks 2012 R10 and reinstall
2. Install QuickBooks from your CD or download QuickBooks 2012 R9
Important: By installing a release of QuickBooks 2012 older than R10 on Mountain Lion, you may get an error during installation related to the new Gatekeeper feature of OS X. Click here for steps to resolve the error.
