Are you using a North American version of Windows ? POS will only work w/ the North American version of window, if you are not using that version, you can uninstall the current Window reinstall N.A. Windows and then install POS.
Another cuase may be if you are installing Point of Sale Pro or Pro-Multistore over the same version in Basic. If so follow the steps in this link:
o resolve this issue, please follow these steps:
- Open Point of Sale Basic and create a backup of your company file. When doing so, select the alternate location option and place the backup on your desktop.
- Uninstall Point of Sale Basic
- Install the Pro or Pro-Multistore version of Point of Sale.
- Restore your backup file from the desktop.
