Rental zip code error
ProSeriesWhy am I getting an error on the zip code of my client's rental property? The rental, single-family house, is in FL and client is a NJ resident. Thanks for your help.

The only error in the federal 1040 product related to the zip code field on the Schedule E worksheet is if you enter a domestic zip code and also a foreign country name.

I've had 3 rental properties (3 different clients - all rolled over) say that the zip is invaled. If that is the only error in the return, over ride the error check for efiling.

I believe you may be seeing this error?
"Zip code is invalid for Electronic Filing. You must enter a valid ZIP code for your state. Enter a correct ZIP code in this format 'nnnnn' or 'nnnnn-nnnn.'
If this is the error & the ZIP code you entered is correct, let us know which valid ZIP codes are displaying this error incorrectly. Thanks.
