Doesn't seem to be possible to personalise; but you can print as pdf and then email them.
The QB remittance advice doesn't even show the currency of the payment.
This kind of thing is pretty basic stuff - when will Intuit get their act together?
The emailing functionality is very poor, it doesn't work for remittance advice slips and it doesn't work with anything other than Microsoft email clients. This is like a half baked product.
You could try using teh QB letters route and tailor your own from the merge fields.
I doubt it will be done in QB 2010 as QB 2012 is now the latest version.
@Graceman
The merge field for the payment isn't in the fields list as far as I can see.
Have you tried it yourself?
I've used QB2002, 2004, 2006 and 2010, and in each upgrade there appears to be little more than cosmetic changes each time, now they want me to upgrade to 2012 on the grounds that shortfalls that should have been fixed in 2010 may be dealt with in 2012 (or maybe not).
It's getting quite tiresome, especially when the play the old "sunsetting" ploy.
This far from letting Intuit off the hook but this is the easiest way of producing the remittances that I have found yet. I had never heard of the Snipping Tool so thank you for pointing it out - it save the laborious pdf creation route.
But as I say, Intuit need to provide the definitive answer.
Thanks again for sharing this with us.
I don't know why Intuit has not introduced customisation of Remittance Advices and the facility to email them in a like manner to Invoices.
At the moment I preview the Remittance Advice, use the Snipping Tool in Windows Vista/Windows 7 and copy and paste this into an email to my suppliers.

There is no compulsion to upgrade each time, unless there is a particular feature you want or you use QBs payroll.
I have clients still running 2003 and earlier versions quite happily.
Don't be bullied by Intuit !
@ayjay3
I do use payroll but my accountant runs a payroll bureau so I could outsource that function. My main reasons for keeping up with the upgrade bandwagon was:
1) Payroll
2) Technical support
3) The hope that the various functionality shortcomings would be addressed
Payroll can be outsourced, their technical support is fairly useless and the third reason is just a vain hope, so it looks like you have provided the most sensible answer I have seen to the Intuit problem.
It's becoming pretty obvious to me that most solutions to the various QB shortcomings involve a user workaround.
When Intuit decide to sunset QB2010, they will be susetting me as a customer methinks.
The community seems to be littered with similar requests.
Just to keep you fully updated the price of 2nd class postage in the UK for small business and ordinary letters is confirmed today as rising from 36p to 50p from 30 April. If the cheque stationery, paper remittance and envelope is added to this the overall total must be something in the order of 70p before we count the cost of the time expended. Of course we need to add to that the extra cost of cheque handling imposed by the banks.
Surely if Intuit where really interested in the welfare of small business they would at least respond. Perhaps ....maybe???
"...if Intuit where really interested in the welfare of small business... "
I haven't seen any evidence that Intuit are interested in the welfare of their customers, quite to the contrary in fact.
I have been using QB2010 (5 user) since the beginning of 2011 and now they tell me they will not be maintaining it any longer, so if I want to use payroll I will need to pay another £1750 to upgrade to QB2012.
QB2010 is less than two years old!
I have cancelled my payroll subscription and will now use a payroll bureau.
That's a sensible alternative.
Or you could use Moneysoft Payroll Manager yourself and save the bureau's costs as well.
We have less than 9 employees and use HMRC Basic Payroll Tools which are excellent and very easy to use and free!
But it does not get around the lack of response from Intuit to organise payment of suppliers by BACS and send advice of remittance by email. Please note the subtly of not requiring a pdf of the existing Remittance - it just needs an email message to say that on DD/MM/YY your bank will be credited with £££.PP being invoices X, Y & Z. Tabulated would be great!
Surely somebody at Intuit could tell us why this is a stupid idea - if it isn't then lets do it!!
