reimbursements on W-2
Why would fuel reimbursement (employee reimbursing employer) on paychecks show up on form W-2 box 14?

Why would fuel reimbursement (employee reimbursing employer) on paychecks show up on form W-2 box 14?

Box 14 is purely informational so you can just ignore it.

If this is a tax question, you would ignore it- as IRMN said.
If this is a QB question, it is because of the way the deduction was setup in QB payroll.

Asv Noted Box 14 is for informational purposes
BOx 14 is informational....note also that if the taxpayer is filing Form 2106, you will need the reimbursement info to enter on line 7 of Form 2106. For example, if Box 14 (reimb) shows $300 and the taxpayer drove 4,000 business miles, then you would enter the 4,00 miles on Form 2106 with the $300 reimb on line 7.
Note that OP said " (employee reimbursing employer)", not employer reimbursing employee.
