Register Default
Have 3 bank accounts - when I go to banking and open register - defaults to the account not used very often -- how do I make the preference account for the register - the bank account I want ????????????

I don't think there is a preference. It defaults back to the last account that was reconciled. For example, I reconcile every day. I may reconcile the one I use the least, last. Therefore, when you go to reconcile again, the last account reconciled (that account that is least used) will open first.

Go to edit>preferences>general and select your preferred accounts for the different functions.
Also open your chart of accounts and drag the preferred account to the top of the list.
