Recording an Accounts Payble Payment Made other than by Check?

How do I post or record a payment other than paid by Check. Example, I paid my first health insurance bill via auto draft from my checking account? I did not pay with a check but money was automatically withdrawn from my checking account.  How do I record this transaction and post it in QB? The subsequent bills are paid by Check but the first one was autodrafted. How do I record this payment in QB?

If you have the bill entered for the first payment made by ACH, then go to vendors>pay bills>check the bill to be paid>select pay selected bill and at the bottom click on assign check number and type in ACH, this will then show up as a paid bill and will appear when you do your bank reconciliation.
