I am just starting my bookkeeping practice and am looking for new clients. Can anyone recommend what type of businesses to target for someone that is relatively new to Quickbooks so that I can get my feet wet without getting in over my head?

How long have you been doing bookkeeping? Just because you are a ProAdvisor does not mean that you can start offering services to businesses. Knowing how to use QuickBooks does not mean you know accounting or bookkeeping. I highly suggest you first seek employment somewhere as a bookkeeper so that you can get some experience. If you insist on doing this without experience make sure you get really good professional liability insurance.
