quickboos and ipad

QuickBooks itself won't work on an iPad. There are a couple of ways of getting to your data from an iPad (I've used all of these myself).

• Get "Hosted" QuickBooks, where QB is on a server somewhere and you log in with a browser. You have to pay a monthly fee for that, but it lets you get to your data from any browser on any computer.
• Purchase "QuickBooks Mobile" which gives you an app that you can run on an iPad that lets you do a limited amount of work with your QB data. Invoices and some lookups, mostly, although they are expanding it.
• Use a remote access program like LogMeIn Ignition. There are some free ones, but I found this one to work the best. Then you are looking at your desktop computer through a window on the iPad. Cheapest way to get to all of your QB features, but sometimes things are a bit hard to see (small).
• Purchase a program like qBooks, which is a native iPad app that lets you get to more of your data than QuickBooks Mobile does. Very low cost. I wrote an article on this at http://www.sleeter.com/blog/2012/03/quickbooks-from-an-ipad/
