I'm curious if anyone out there has had success in selling quarterly tune-up services on a recurring basis. Is this a popular service? Do you bundle it with quarterly AJE or payroll returns? What do you charge? If you've had success in selling these services, please share your stories :)
We do alot of Quarterly Quickbooks review, some even on a monthly basis. It all kind of depends on the client. I try to encourage all my clients this way, because it sure makes end of year tax return preparation easier if we are reviewing the file through out the year. I do this when I do the payroll reports. I do have some that do their own payroll reports, but I look over the file before they do.
Quarterly tune ups we charge between $300-500. Again the price kind of depends on the clients and how many transactions they really have and if they have the basic concepts down.
Thanks for the info! The Sleeter Group sells a Consultant's Toolkit that includes Quarterly Analysis Report Templates ... do you use a template like that or did you come up with your own checklist and report format to use? I don't know whether it is better to re-create the wheel or spend the $$$ for other people's templates....
I haven't tried the Sleeter tool. I guess we kind of use our own report. I will have to check into the Sleeter tool though.
