I just recently upgraded my computer to Windows 7. Now I get the error message "quickbooks has stopped working and windows is searching for a solution" - what does that mean? Do I have a problem with Windows or with Quickbooks?

I have exactly the same problem, only it worked fine for a month on Windows 7 and suddenly today won't open. Same version, qb pro 2010. I have already tried "repair" and uninstall/reinstall but no use
When I talked to technical help, their only solution was that my user account was corrupt and I needed to open another user account. This I did and I managed to gain access to the program again but now I have to log off my account and open another in order to work on my books. I know there is a better solution to this.
I have requested that this "discussion" be moved to the Installation, Update Forum where you will have a much better chance of a user with technical knowledge of Windows 7 and QB answering your question. Good Luck

I have recently been getting a message that QuickBooks has stopped working and I am still on VISTA. I didn't think much of it, however it has happened several times as of recent. I run QuickBooks 9 and 10. both accountants version. HUM!!
