Quickbooks Premier Australia

QuickBooks Australia

I have an employee with a lot of 'Payroll Items' on their payslip. I would like them not to appear on his current ones as they take up to much room is there away to get rid of them and show only a YTD amount? Or just away to tidy them up?

Great Question, if you are not using the item on the paycheck the best thing to do is not have it on the Paycheck Detail. Otherwise, if on every paycheck you are using all of the items you would need to show them on the check stub.

They have been used this YTD but are no longer needed. How do i remove them from the Paycheck Detail?  Will this change any amounts or hours?

First lets go to the Employee profile - Employee Center Double click on the employee name - go to the tab at the top and go to Payroll and compensation - this is screen make sure that under earnings you only have the basic information (for example hourly or salary) and under the additions deductions and company contributions lets make sure that only the basic every payroll information in there.

Second lets go to the paycheck detail and see make sure take the items out of the paycheck by highlighting the item and deleting.

I hope this makes sense. Its alittle hard to explain somtimes in a chat.

Mellesa, By removing this items from the paycheck detail you are not deleting the YTD totals you are just removing the items from the paycheck.

Also, you can use these items again as the year goes on. They will just not show on the checkstub unless you use them.

Intuit Jenn5 is identified as an Intuit Employee. She should not only be able to help, but someone at Intuit should have noted this was not in the correct forum from the beginning and moved it for you.

Now the other Aussie people who are on these forums can help you, too.

Jenn might be in India for all we know.

Payroll Items are seen in two places: the set up of the employee, and their use on paychecks.

Jenn is describing how to delete them from the setup, so they don't keep coming into payroll when they aren't needed. This would be, for instance, when you see 0 values all the time, because the items are in use but not needed.

Mellesa is describing payroll items that have been used and now have YTD values. These will report in the year they were used, as they should, because they carry the YTD values.

In regards to this forum: I was pointing out that Jenn could be working from anywhere and still be able to find a topic that was relocated to the forum specific for the product being asked about. The comment regarding India was meant to convey, it is a big world now, on this Internet forum.

I know folks get upset when they get frustrated, but there is no need to attack volunteers that are trying to be helpful. Intuit has specifically asked that the co-moderators move topics when they are not in the right place. That is why they make us co-moderators.

Thanks for recognizing the value that this topic regarding Australia QB should be in the Australia forum, for good access to Australia answers.

You are welcome.
