I have many restaurants as clients. I use the Zero Sum Sales Receipt (ZSR) to record the daily sales activity. (I did a webinar on this for QuickBooks). Most of my restaurant clients have some sort of POS system in place to ring up the actual customer purchase. We just take that daily information and enter it in QB using the ZSR technique.
Works like a charm!
