Quickbooks Donation input

US QuickBooks Premier : 2008: Nonprofit

When entering a donation in Quickbooks Premier Nonprofit 2008 Edition, it shows up as a negative value???
How do I enter a donation as a positive value?

Open the Item record. You have the item configured as the type "Payment". That's not what a donation is, a donation is usually a service. Payment items are for retailers who are tracking credit card daily totals and waiting for the merchant company to deposit a "batch".

Thanks for the info. I was able to change the item (to service) and enter donations in about five minutes. What a relief!
