Hi Cleo,
Intuit moved the management of the Certification Program over to our endorsed training partner, Real World Training (RWT). The new program is much more comprehensive: It's a full 2 day training course, followed by a test. This ensures that the Certification really does mean something - you definitely know QuickBooks if you have gone through the Certification.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. Thank you,
Laura from Intuit

After I received the reply from ljmesser, Quickbooks suddenly accepted my application, and gave me access to the $99.00 course. Maybe I was one of the last let into this class, before they changed it to the 2-day seminar. Thank you for your reply.
There is still a $99.95 version available from an authorized Quickbooks Affilliate, www.software.com has it available. They only show it for windows 2000 and XP.

LibertyLincoln, when you click through to buy it takes you to the new certification program from Real World Training (i.e. it is not $99--they just haven't updated their website).
I am trying to decide on the $99.00 program or the $399.00 program. Does anyone have any input? Also, do either of these programs teach you about payroll?

Ralphy--the $99 program is no longer available. Yes, I'm pretty sure it covers how to set up and process payroll in QuickBooks.
I am self employed and trying to grow my business, I am extremely disappointed that the price of the certification program has gone up to $399. Shame on Intuit for allowing this to happen. Shame on me for not taking the course last year!
Hi cleo1,
Don't blame Intuit. It's RWT's program now. You may want to look into the National Bookkeepers Association's (NBA) QuickBooks Certification. The website link is http://www.nationalba.org/certification/qbc_guide.cfm.

Do you have to renew this certification like you do with the Pro Advisor one? I have the cert but am curious. When I received it, nothing was said about maintenance requirements. Thank you.
