Quickbooks 2011 Registration never goes through

Quickbooks 2011 keeps asking me to register over and over again. 

Full install on Windows 7.

Latest post

The only solution was to call the Intuit contact number and have them give me a validation code.  Then they had me go to help > about and do "ctrl-"r and hit "p" to get a popup box with my license and product number, where I could finally enter the validation code.
