Important Announcement! A planned system-wide upgrade will take place over the Memorial Day Weekend in the US (From Thurs, May 24, 2012 at 6 pm PDT thru Tues, May 29, 2012 at 5 am PDT). This includes QuickBooks, QuickBooks Payroll, Point of Sale, & Salesforce.com. This is only for US based products. This does not affect QuickBooks Online customers! Quickbooks 2010 will not open in mac.

US QuickBooks for Macintosh : 2010

Why is my quickbooks 2010 for Mac telling me that it cannot open in this architecture?  What can I do to fix this.  I have made sure that my processor is an intel...YES, and I have tried to reboot in safe mode to update and still will not open.  Whats up??  I need to fix this soon to use my QuickBooks!

Did you just upgrade your Mac OS to Loin?

no I did not.  In Mid-January Quickbooks updated, that is the last thing I remember.  I have been using QB sporatically, so i am not sure when this started.  I just noticed it.  Do I need to upgrade to Lion?  I have the disk to upgrade but I am scared how Adobe Creative Suite 4 is going to act!

What is your OS?  2010 requires Mac OS X v10.5.7 or later.  It is supported in 10.6 and will run in 10.7 if you are on the latest release.

Please help me improve my performance by answering a short survey that will be emailed to you from the community.

Did you ever resolve your problem?  All I can think is that somehow you downloaded the wrong version of QuickBooks.  You can always download the full version by going to www.usequickbooks.com/mac2010, but you will need your license number to validate the download.
